I seem to remember in about '95 seeing a tab book of pretty much all The Alarms tracks adevertised on the 'net. It had a cover a bit like Standards but it's so long ago I'm not sure if I'm imagining it. I've no idea who published it or even if it was official, early days for the net and all that. Does anyone else remember that or am I going loopy?
The book you mention was actually just a lyric book. Called "Stand - The Complete Written Works of The Alarm". It did look like the cover of the Standards album in that it was a white book with the classic poppy logo.
It did not have any tabs, just lyrics (including a few Welsh translations) and four great shots of the Lads taken by Jules.
The only Tab book was the blue "Best of The Alarm" that came out around the time of Eye of the Hurricane with about 15 songs in it. This one is useless however, as most of the transcriptions sound nothing like the originals!
There is also a Japanese tab book of the complete Declaration album. This occasionally pops up on Ebay.
