"Earlier this year Peter Tork reported on his web site that he had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (adenoid cystic carcinoma - a slow-growing form of head and neck cancer).

A preliminary biopsy discovered that the cancer had not spread beyond the initial site.

According to Peter Tork's website, he has had an operation to remove the cancer. It has gone well, and he will not be needing chemotherapy, although he will have to undergo radiation treatment to be prevent the cancer from returning[20]. He has expressed hope that he will be able to perform previously scheduled shows later this year."
