THE ALARM & THE DAMNED

JOIN FORCES FOR THE ‘3-4-1 UK Tour’

MAY 23rd – JUNE 14th 2009

w/ Special Guest Henry Cluney (Stiff Little fingers)

As a direct response to the financial climate, The Alarm will co-headline the ‘3-4-1 UK Tour’ with punk rock legends’ The Damned. The tour will spearhead a move towards a more acceptable, value for money ticket price that promises concert goers a thrilling night of pure energy from both bands, along with a special acoustic guest appearance from Stiff Little Fingers’ originator Henry Cluney who will making his first UK appearances in a very long time…..

The tour was born from conversations that took place between The Damned’s Captain Sensible and Alarm frontman Mike Peters during this year’s winter of discontent. "In this present climate of fat cat bankers creaming it off the top, we've got together with our chums The Alarm to do some shows around the country at the same price that people would normally pay to see just one band. A sort of ‘recession buster’ ticket. ‘3 for the price of 1’” says the Captain. “We wanted to create an environment that would bring people together, to talk, dance and take part in a unique rock and roll event like those legendary Anarchy / Red Wedge style tours of the past” continues Peters. “Young bands of today are only skirting round the issues so we decided to do something about it in the only way we know how, and that is to stir people up with guitars and song”.

The '341 UK Tour' is a credit crunch busting three classic acts for the price of one. The Damned, The Alarm and Henry Cluney bring the rock 'n' roll supermarket to a venue near you!

Lee a Norwich date would be just perfect ,,, it will beat driving 140 miles to London (midweek) and back again,, like we normally have to so we can see the boy perform,,,,,last time mike came to Norwich was 3 years ago with D.M.Walking and mr sensible was with him ,,, it will be nice to be able to get a cab home instead of having to drive miles and miles and miles

small time boy big time dreams

Brillo
Good to see there's someone voting for mike and the boys coming to Norwich.
A bit of a wrench travelling to places like Edinburgh (liquid rooms), London (punk) etc..as in previous tours.
Good to hear from ya Brillo

Please, please, please come to somewhere in the South West. I have been promising my two sons that I will get them to an Alarm gig at least once in their lives, to get the amazing experience I have had. They are now in their early 20's !!!

Has anyone heard anything on the forum about Mike Peters appearing live on stage with TV Smith performing two Adverts songs? The rumour is that Captain Sensible and John Robb of Goldblade will aslo be strumming along. If this is true I'm bound for Manchester on the 24th May?

What a tribute to Joe that would be. Hey! Maybe they could play London's Burning too!

See you in the beer tent! Pub Time
