A big thanks to everyone who came out to see The Alarm on the 3-4-1 UK Tour. It was a fantastic few weeks around Britain and I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the Damned / Henry Cluney fans who have joined this list since and during the tour.
The tour bus might have stopped rolling but there's not much time to draw breath... I head for Norway this weekend to play the Dronningsford Festival near Bergen in a solo acoustic capacity as Mike Peters on Friday 19th and also in full electric mode with The Alarm on Saturday night, 20th June. It's the first time the sound of The Alarm has been heard in Scandinavia since the late 1980's and hopefully it will be the first of many visits in the years to come....
Rhondda Rocks is also just around the corner on Saturday June 27th, and the long range weather forecast is predicting a beautiful day. I'm proud to announce that chart stars - The Automatic will be joining me on the walk and also in the post-trek concert in the Aberdare Coliseum. Personally, I can't wait to hear them singing "What's that coming over the hill" on the summit!!!! Stuart Cable (Stereophonics) will also be joining us with his fine new band 'Killing For Company' along with a host of others including The Pendyrus Male Voice Choir. It's all being recorded for future transmission by BBC Wales and it's still not too late to join in..... so if you feel that you would like to 'Get On Your Boots' as Bono might say.... then call Katrina on 07814 404877. It's estimated that the walk will take about 3 - 4 hours and it's nowhere near as high as Snowdon.... so come on down and make a stand with us!!!!
Independence Day in the USA coincides with Snowdon Rocks on Saturday July 4th. This year, we have an Event Marquee set up at base camp which is situated at the Pen-Y-Ceunant Cafe at the foot of the Llanberis (Mountain Railway) Path up to Snowdon. We have a full sound system on site plus a host of talented local artists performing( including a full set from myself ) and I also hope to be announcing some very special guests who will be joining me in the days leading up to the event itself. I can confirm that I will be singing with the 60 strong North Wales Rugby Choir so get ready for some serious chills down the spine!!!. The day will begin at 10.00 am with a musical send off and a concert at the Halfway House Cafe around midday, followed by a concert at the summit at 1400. As an added bonus this year, the new Snowdon Summit Building is now open so we will all be able to get a hot cup of tea at the summit before heading down for the grand finale in the event Marquee which will kick off at 1600 until closing time!!! Once again, I urge you to join me on the mountain for a most special day out in support of a most noble cause...... all proceeds from both events will be directed into cancer care through out Wales.
Once I get down from the mountain, I'll be jetting off to NYC for a two night acoustic stand on Broadway at the Canal Room and a concert at the prestigious YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts in Bayshore, Long Island. I'm really looking forward to performing with the acoustic guitar again and continuing where I left off from the Cat Club residency in California. Also I have just made the draw for the winner of the House Concert and someone in the New York area is in for a very nice surprise / shock..... Also, watch out someone in Yorkshire...... winners to be announced very soon (once they have been contacted and given time to prepare....)!!!!!!
All sorts of rumours and internet chatter abound about new Alarm dates that are starting to appear on venue / festival web sites across the globe. It is true that we are planning for more dates as we speak. I can confirm that The Alarm will play at UC Music Fest on Saturday September 12th in Union County, New Jersey. Music Fest is once again partnering up with the Love Hope Strength Foundation and the Valerie Fund and will also feature a Rock and Run and walkathon on the morning of September 12th. I will be taking part in this event personally and any fans wishing to walk / run with me should make plans to sign up in advance at the UCMusic Fest website.
Love Hope Strength Foundation is also hosting a huge charity fundraising music event in Philadelphia on Thursday September 10th that will feature myself performing both individually and collectively with Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), Robin Gibson (Gin Blossoms), Cy Curnin (The Fixx) amongst others, for what promises to be an incredible nights entertainment.
To make the night even more special, Jules is organising a special one-off 'tour bus' down from New York City to the event in Philly. There are 30 places available to travel with me, take in the event with backstage passes and also ride back to NYC that evening. I will be performing songs on the bus and talking about all of my lifetime of adventures in rock and roll on the journey. So if you are so inclined and would like to support this event then please emailalarmcalling@mac.com for more details and the lowdown on how to get involved.......
Rumours of more UK dates for November / December are true and dates will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. I can say that tickets are on sale for a show we will be performing at Manchester Academy on Friday November 27th with The Beat , featuring Ranking Roger (who first jammed with The Alarm on 'Sixty Eight Guns' back in 1982 at Warwick University). We are also planning to release a single to go with the tour which will feature both bands..... I'll have more for you as and when it is really real!!!!!
The Gathering 2010 is selling really fast and so big thanks to everyone who has taken up the special offer. I can promise you that it is going to be the best Gathering ever and as many of you have found out already, the accommodation set up means that people can be roomed close to each other in the true spirit of The Alarm community. Soon we will have details of all planned events for this year's Gathering.... and news of forthcoming releases from both Mike Peters and The Alarm............WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!
Hi,just wondered if anyone could confirm that for the Nov/Dec dates thats The Beat will be the support band and Mike and the band will be doing a full set as headliners? I am guessing thats how it will be but just checking! Thanks Mick

Read what Mile said correctly Mike said "In NYC" He said "In the NYC Area" which means New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island so all of us in the area are hoping it's Us
It's the first time the sound of The Alarm has been heard in Scandinavia since the late 1980's and hopefully it will be the first of many visits in the years to come....

The message has a e-mail address to write and let the MPO know your interested. If I know the NY/ NJ contingent of Alarm Fans 30 seats just ain't going to do it.
Sounds as if you typed it in as a URL if you type it as a e-mail address it will not open to a web page it will only bounce back to you. Give it another shot
