THE courage and musical ability of Mike Peters garnered the rock star hundreds of votes in our search for the top North Walian. As lead singer of The Alarm, the Dyserth singer/songwriter has enjoyed success all over the globe, but Mike’s world was rocked in 2005 when he was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia (CLL), a condition he is still treated for at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. The 50-year-old will return to the hospital on June 30 for a review, but is confident doctors will give him a clean bill of health before he joins hundreds of fans, family and friends at the third annual Snowdon Rocks event on July 4.
