I just booked my ticket for next year's gathering but don't know much about the accomodations. I've heard we can get groups as large as 6-12 into some of the 'holiday chalets' but it's hard to know how large a place we need until we hear from some of the other US/UK folks.

Hopefully, we'll get a little time to get ourselves organized before we have to pick a specific place 'on campus'.

I think this sounds like a fab deal. Only problem is, how the hey do you get to Prestatyn? I'm a big chicken, no way am I going to drive on the "wrong" side of the road... Smiler

MsMeetNgreet, how are you handling this?

Vy,

Not sure where you will be coming from, but there is a train stop for Prestatyn that is supposed to be fairly close to Pontin's. You could either walk or take a cab from there. That's how I will be doing it next year. It's just like going from London to Llandudno, except the journey is about 25 minutes shorter.

Hi Tim,

thanks, that's good to know. I'll be coming from Germany, so that gives me the option to fly into London or Cardiff. Perhaps when the time draws a bit closer, Chicken Me can arrange to go on the big British Railway adventure with some other folks heading that way. Smiler

Have a great week, everone. I'm sure I'll see some of you on the 28th.

Just booked a ticket as well and was wondering about travel from manchester international to Prestatyn. Pretty sure I'll be renting a car this year.

Can't wait to see everyone. It's been such a very long time!!! Now to get the passport renewed and book airfare!!!

For all of you coming from abroad, your best bet is to fly into Manchester. You can then get a direct train to Prestatyn.
When you get off the train and start walking up the bridge at the station, go to the left.
Once in the car park, walk towards the right.
Once on main road, continue right.
The road eventually bears to the right, turn left here (Pontins is signposted)
it's about a 15 min easy walk.
Hope this helps.
