Wish I was in Calfornia!

Hope the shows go well...and I really hope mixing of the new record goes well. I'm excited to check out more new Alarm, after Guerilla Tactics, which was great.

Terrific !!!! - hubby and I only get school holidays off and this would be perfect, BUT on Friday last week, thinking nothing was on the Alarm front for a holiday, we booked Springsteen tickets for Bilbao, Spain in the summer. NOW, I can`t afford to do both and have to give the West Coast a miss. OR I could not have my new bathroom and do both ???

Definitely wonderful news for us folks here in CA! Can't wait for the shows.

Any word on the content of the album that Mike's mixing - is it more stuff from "the collective" or new stuff written since "guerilla tactics"?

Also, any chance that the rest of the band will make an appearance along with Mike here in LA? All of us out here are still clamouring for more than the 45 minute "Rockin the Colonies" set. Obviously, Mike's acoustic shows will be awesome, but we also would like to experience a fullblown, loud and nasty show by the whole band.

This is great news! I was wondering when Mike would be back in L.A. It'll be just like last April, when Mike was here for a month. Looking forward to all of the shows!

Hey all...I've been neglecting this forum again...but I've some big news to share!

My group, The Brian Travis Band, have been added to the bill on April 3rd at the Cat Club. We are following Mike Peters and are very excited to be playing the same night on the same stage!

This will be my second appearance with Mike...the first being Alarmstock 1 way back in August of 2003 in Wales. I am excited to be performing with Mike in my hometown of LA where I first discovered The Alarm.

I look forward to seeing all the LA Alarmheads and a few out of towners to...I'm talking to you Mitch! Smiler

I hope you all stick around after Mikes' set to catch some BTB music...I've made sure to add a few surprises during our set for my Alarm friends/family!

I thought Mike did a fantastic job! His voice was in top form and his stage presence was 100% rock 'n roll royalty. The room was his from the first note, although some rude folks were chatting away at the bar by mid set, which was a little annoying to those of us who wanted to enjoy the show, but it is The Cat Club and ultimately a bar gig...

The high point for me was a rare version of Pavillion Steps and possibly the best version of Spirit of 76 that I've heard in a long long time. Mike is one of the greats and its just amazing that we get to see him in such intimate venues the way we do.

I was a bit distracted during Mikes' set as my band had to follow, which is a daunting task for any group, but we had fun rocking our set despite some haunting low end feedback that plagued the first 1/2 of our performance. The crowd seemed to enjoy our version of "What Kind Of Hell" and some Alarm fans even tossed a deck of cards which, in my eyes, is a high honor...

I'd like to thank everyone who stuck around for my set! I love Mike and The Alarm and it is why I have a band and why I am compelled to play music. Friday April 3rd 2009 was a night I'll always remember...I'm looking forward to this coming Friday!

Congrats on such a great gig, Brian! It's a testament to Mike's talent and approach to his music that we have so many talented musicians as fans. Wish I could have been there to see it in person but I know we'll get some more great reviews out of you guys and some pix to tide us over.

Hopefully, some videos along the way, too...

;-)

hint, hint!!

Oh, and if anyone hears anything, even whispers, about any East Coast appearances please pass them along!!! [Even if they're about the rumoured "summer dates" for the whole band...they will be much appreciated!!!]

Mike might be able to confirm some general details but it's really Jules who knows the most so LISTEN CLOSELY!!!! ;-) And keep buying her those fruity rum drinks she likes!!

...after all, when in MALIBU....!!!

Bummer, just saw these on THE DAMNED's site -
US opener ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN for May dates
**NOT** The ALARM

Guess we'll have to wait and see if THE ALARM get to play with THE DAMNED later in the summer, *if* they have a second leg of US dates to support...thru the MidWest and West Coast, perhaps? Or even back to the East Coast from Washington to Miami, would do nicely!!

If I didn't already have a gig scheduled for May 8th I'd support Cap't Sensible in Boston cuz I know he always puts on a great show.
