2002 - A fire rips through the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland, severely damaging and rendering unsafe the Guilded Balloon and La Belle Angele, which are located in a protected "world heritage site. La Belle Angele hosted early performances by the likes of Oasis and Radiohead.
