Are we talking about Glen Campbell, the guy who sang Rhinestone Cowboy? At first a whinced, then laughed...but people on this board seem to like a lot of bands that I like, so I am going to have to give his disc a listen.

My next shows are Okkervil River and the Black Crowes, both in Buffalo in October. And Spirit of the West, a Canadian Celtic-influenced band in Toronto in late October.

The very same man indeed. 'Meet Glen Campbell' is a really good CD. I was actually stunned that I liked it! It's really worth checking out.

I'm trying to get tickets for him here in Glasgow in October.

My Mam was a huge Glen Campbell fan. I remember listening to 'By The Time I Get To Phoenix' when I was little and thinking it was the saddest song I'd ever heard.
