I saw an advert for the Glasgow show the other day which had the Aussie band called the Living End on the bill, followed by Dropkick Murphys then Less Than Jake, if that's the case, it may be a pretty tempting gig to go to as the Living End have at least 2 really good songs: "Roll On" (ok, it's basically a Clash rip-off, but hey, if you've gotta rip someone off, better to rip off the Clash rather than guff like level 42 or summat) and "Pictures In the Mirror" (which I can't think offhand who it reminds me of, but it's an ace rocker anyway), dunno what their new stuff sounds like mind.
The dropkicks would be good for a few songs, the only thing putting me off a bit is Less Than Jake as they are basically a one-trick pony and haven't really developed as a band since I saw them at the Glasgow Garage (twice I think) a few years back, dunno if I could be bothered with lots of wee ska-punk neds either, I'd probably give Les than Jake 3 songs to impress then I'd be offsky!

cheers for the info mikey, 3 bands for 17 quid cant be bad ( apart from less than jake ,lol)
I downloaded less than jakes latest album, the music sounds not bad, sounds tight enough and if they play like that live then they should be not bad, but, big buttts, it is that singer's voice, it bugs the hell out of me. I would say there is only one really good song on the album and that is the song called "overrated" lol.
The drop kicks will be good for more than a few songs I think, I hope. ( never seen them live)
I am doing the same as you, i will be there for the first two bands then sit up the back at the bar and give them about half hour to impress then im heading back to the solid rock.
