A friend sent the following to me. This could be very very cool. A celebration of Joe Strummer...AND a date in my town!

Breaking news: Mike Peters is the new frontman of Los Mondo Bongo.
The great Alarm frontman is joining Mescaleros Pablo Cook and Smiley who together with Derek Forbes of Simple Minds and Steve Harris complete the bands lineup.

Plans are already afoot for dates in US/Canada in early March as well as a couple of warm up gigs in Scotland in late February. Also a South American Tour taking in Brazil, Argentina and Chile is also lined up.

A complete Tour listing will be made on monday 22nd Dec, but tickets are onsale for gigs @

Is anyone else going to try to catch the show in Buffalo? Cool club, known for doing up-and-coming bands, and a lot of cool, but not super commercial bands. Going to be fun!

I haven't a clue Doug. Hopefully we'll get more information at the end of the month if I don't hear sooner. Derek Forbes mentioned the Scottish dates vaguely on the Fourgoodmen forum about a month ago, but didn't go into detail. Unfortunately their forum is frozen at the moment, and their news hasn't been updated on the Fourgoodmen website. If I can get there, I'll be there though!!

Greetings...

I just received an e-mail from Ticketmaster saying that the March 10th show at Diesel in Pittsburgh has been cancelled and money refunded.

...how about the rest of the mini tour?

(PS...to all of my brothers and sisters attending...have a great time at the Gathering)

THe Alrm has once again been scheduled as one of the headliners of the Union County Musicfest. The festival has moved to Oak Ridge Park in Clark, NJ this year. The festival will take place on Sept. 12 & 13. The Alrm will appear on Sept. 12.

Nice, good family environment and my kids will almost be three. They already sing "Sold Me Down the River" in the mini-van. It would be nice to see everyone again as I have not been out to shows since they were born. Been a long time coming but its good to be back...
