My wife and I are doing the trip from North Wales for the weekend and are staying at the holiday inn oppsote the castle

Myself and Jim will be there. Looking forward to it.
Staying in the Novotel in the city near the Millennium Stadium. Should be arriving early afternoon Friday so I'm sure we'll bump into a few fellow fans for drinks!

She is a virgin Alarm gigger, not even a slight fan. She moans that UA is on in the car all the time.............I think that is about to change

Well it's the next day, I had to tell her to turn it down in the car today !

Now she wants me to get her a ticket for Chepstow, got mine sorted weeks and months ago !

Yeah, it was a good gig. Reckon that there will be a few new fans as a result. Where I was standing at the front, it was wall-to-wall Alarm fans but further back, I'm sure there were plenty of Alarm virgins. One of the 14 year olds with me was a first-timer and she was well impressed with the performance. Her comment on Mike - "He dresses well for an old bloke!"

Shame that they only got an hour for their set. I thought they were on fine form, especially James.

Even the policeman had an "I have been Alarmed" look on his face. Fact is its just a matter of getting the music in front of people the rest is easy.

I look forward to seeing the video that Jules was making from the stage edge. Yeh I saw you.

Going out in a blaze of glory....repeat for 100 years then fade out ................

it got 'busier' down the front as the set went on...You could see the pure enjoyment on Mikes face from playing to such a crowd of 'Virgins', certainly the biggest stage I've seen them play for many a year, wonder what the crowd numbers actually were.....A great set another solid performance and walking away afterwards you could see the WOW factor on peoples faces.....It hit me last night that if this format of the ALARM had been aroud 20 yrs ago they would have been worldbeaters!!!


oh and 'scuse me for asking, did anyone get an audio recording of the set?

I got a video recording of the whole gig from the front left, the sound is a bit dodgy in places as I think I was too near the speakers. My battery and tape ran out just as the fireworks started. I'm watching it at the moment, copying it to DVD.

Chris, My original copy is heading North Monday Morning for the wonderful 'Rev' to work his magic, He'll do far better justice in making a decent DVD of it than I ever could...

When I get a copy back i'll take you up on your offer please!
