I was reading Wales online about the possible Vegas Rocks show in 2009 and found this wonderful quote on a website called vegastripping.com and thought for a good laugh I'd post it:

Mark the first weekend in July 2009 on your calendar... Guns N Roses might be coming to town.

Wales Online is reporting that Dave** Peters - front man from 80's Second British Invasion band The Alarm, who not only sounded a lot like U2, but sported Bonoian mullets too - is putting together a massive outdoor charity festival a la Live Aid called Vegas Rocks.

Despite having a pretty lame name, the early line up has promise: Guns N Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Motorhead, The Damned and, of course, The Alarm. I can't help but think how a reformation of The Clash would slam dunk this bill... that is if Joe Strummer was still with us."
