I was speaking with James Stevenson last night in Long Branch NJ at The Gene Loves Jezebel show and he told me that The Alarm will be doing the Second Leg of The Rocking the Colonies tour this summer.
Any more word on the teaser that Mike mentioned in his New Year's message about coming to California to record and do some shows this month (February)?

Thanks so much for the info! Saratoga is right next door for me, how exciting! Didn't the Fixx open for the Alarm before - I think it was Electric Folklore? I'm sure I saw them open at the Warfield.

Mike was interviewed on 106.3 in NJ this morning. He confirmed that there will be a Rockin the Colonies tour this summer but was not aware of the details.
He also spoke of his next mountain expedition - Macchu Picchu.

I think Javier knows about some of this stuff before the bands do. Anyone have any idea about how far a drive it is to Portsmouth? Could make for a fun road trip. Also, what will the order of the bands be this year. Hopefully, The Alarm will get more than nine songs/45 minutes this time around.

I just saw the ad for the Saratoga, CA show in SF Weekly today! So excited! It's English Beat/the Fixx and The Alarm. When will the Rock the Colonies Tour 2 dates be listed on the site? It would be nice to know the other dates/locations too.
FYI: I just tried to buy my tickets for the Saratoga event. I couldn't even get two tickets together. I had to buy to separate ones - a few seats part - and in the bleachers! My guess is they are almost sold out.

Well, I bought a ticket for a July 13 show at The FIllmore/Irving Plaza box office this afternoon, so does that count as a confirmed date? The ticket was $37.50.

Thanks to a nice tip from creekhouse, I got better seats from the Ticketmaster site. Still in the bleachers too but at least they are together, in a closer row and on the aisle.
So, I have two extra tickets right now.
Ticketmaster seems to have better ticket choices than LiveNation.
