When you say reasonably priced what bracket are we talking? Victoria Park Hotel is not too bad and only a little further from the venue (but still in easy walking distance) It only has 18 rooms though. Singles are on line at £40. That's probably cheaper than the taxi fare I'll be paying to get back to Knutsford
You can also check The Britannia, they always have some good rates and very central near the train station while the Travelodge is just down the road too.
