Hi guys,

just 5 mins away from showtime. Lots of 'old' faces in the bar. Just listening to LHS from '21' in the venue.... awaiting MP!!

Just nipped backstage (pics in the next few days) and can't believe how many notes and lyrics are strewn around. MP doesn't quite know what's happening yet, so there is an air of 'anything could happen'.

And it probably will....

5 songs in. Lots of in depth chat from MP about background of songs. Brilliant! Mike picked 'Tell Me' from Declaration. Which seemed an odd choice. I'm sure Doug who picked it was pleased. But we were all pleased by the end, as it was a beautiful rendition. Each song is getting better and better.

Part 2 of the gig (after a short break) starts with 'Rescue Me'. I've just calculated the gig will finish about midnight if Mike carries on at this pace. Yeah...So what! No-ones on the bus.

Half way through - and up to 'breathe'. One of the best of that period (IMHO!). Mike waxing lyrical in the most engaging way. So many name drops... U2, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Who, even Fish!

Mike talking now about the Poets. And speaking with as much passion about this time as with The Alarm.

When Mike talks about his 'cancer' period it opens another door into MP. But you had to be here to know.

Mike just played an amazing version of Love Hope and Strength, dedicated to wife, mother and driving force of the MPO. Very moving and shame Jules couldn't be here in person to hear it. GET WELL SOON JULES.

Hi all,got back late last night from Wrexham and a truly wonderful evening in such a small intimate venue and with Mike in fantastic voice and in full flow with the stories!! i think the evening could of gone on well after midnight and no one would of complained one bit!!!!
Great song choices but for me watching Mike sing LOVE HOPE AND STRENGTH dedicated to Jules and just to see the emotion in face and hear it in his voice was worth the trip alone!!!!
Mike your 110% right to move the tour to April next year!!Jules and the kids are more important and we will still be here ready to hit the road once you are and the family are well again!!!!
Thanks Mike for a great night and see you at the Gathering!!!!!
