Newbie: Talked To Mike After A Show
Posted
Hi Mike, how's it going?

You know I love to bang on about old Alarm stuff that's still unreleased. The things that have come out so far are superb - Alt-Strength was a real eye...erm...ear-opener, and the Radio 1 CD was a joy to behold.

This is a lot of little questions, wrapped up in one big question. Can you give us a definitive rundown of what you have left in the vaults?

Any material for an Alt-EOTH?

Which live shows do you still have which you might release? The '83 My Father's Place gig? The BBC show from early '88? The full Boston November '85 gig?

The 're-mixes' of 68 Guns and WWYHWTSB? on The Alarm Collection were very good - maybe what the whole album should have sounded like - any plans to re-do the whole LP? Any sign of the alternate, punky vocal for WWYHWTSB?

Nearly done - did you get to hear the Ultimate Sound & Fury bootleg? We collected live version of every song we believe you played live from that era - the only one we couldn't get a radio broadcast/soundboard version of was WAH's Better Scream. We found two audience recordings of this (Salford and Exeter) do you have anything of better quality than that?

And finally, of course, what are your plans for releasing any of the above?

Sorry for the length of the question.

Best wishes, and this Q&A session is a great idea.

Steve W
