Hi. I am travelling from the US for my first Gathering weekend. What can I expect? Will there be an opportunity to meet Mike? Will dvd etc be available for purchase? Thanks for any info and I'm looking forward to meeting fans. Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Just want to wish you the best on your first Gathering. There is usually an opportunity to meet Mike after the Mastermind Quiz, and also at the aftershow party. You'll find the alcohol to wash down like water, your ability to sleep thrown off by your internal clock and time difference, the Irish Sea very cold, some great site seeing, excellent music, and a lots of fun.

What part of the country are you from?

I am from the East Coast of the US - Virginia; about 5 hours south of Washington, DC. In Wales staying at the Esplanade Hotel.

our first time also .. should have been there last year but daughter was seriously ill so we knocked it on the head at last min,, still got last years tickets (hope to get them signed )we booked this years gathering last feb ; so touch wood all is fine and dawn and i will see you all in wales in a fortnight ,, really looking foward to it

Have fun Newbies. I remember my first Gathering-G6. 11 years ago,,,wow!! The weather was actually nice for Wales in January. Seeing everyone, not getting much sleep etc...

One thing (except for a couple annoying fans who seem to push and shove at the shows-up front) Those fans are not on here.
One thing about Alarm fans are that they are genuine, smart, fun, and of course love to drink. They will make sure everyone is having a good time. All of you will have a great time. Take pictures and enjoy the time b/c before you know it--it will be over.
