What if Tom Waits, Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen showed up on American Idol today all 3 judges would probably toss off all 3. And I just thought your probably right. I want to here from you what do you think?

Well Cowell said awhile back that the Beatles wouldn't pass an audition for X Factor because of Ringo, so what hope would there be for Bruce, Tom and Bob!

I, like most proper music fans, despise the X factor rollercoaster but it doesnt mean real music is in a poor state. It just doesnt get the exposure so it takes a long time to get through.

Look at the success Kings of Leon are having after what i think is there worst album. This year I have been to some specatacular gigs, Green Day, Elbow, Cage the Elephant, Eagles of Death metal, The Cult, Pearl Jam and many more.

It all comes full circle and eventually we will all be bored by the x factor and want something more real but there will always be mass market crap.

Thank god we all live in an Alarm world on here...rock and indeed plenty of roll
