A cancer research charity based in Liverpool has benefitted from the generosity of Dave Sharp fans who produced and supported the Dave Sharp Tribute CD Take A Look At The Punks.
The North West Cancer Research Fund (NWCRF) provides grants to support research into the causes of cancer in the North West of England and North and Mid-Wales.
A cheque for £400 was presented to representatives of NWCRF at The Grand Hotel, Llandudno on Saturday 27th January.
Two of the performers from the CD, John Ramsay, singer and accordian player from Scotland's Booze'N'Daze and Michele Jaffe, New York punksters Loki The Grump's lead singer, made the presentation along with Decaturville 2 organiser Paul Heaton.
Iris Matthews, treasurer of the NWCRF Llandudno committee, told davesharp.org ''It's a large ammount of money for our committee - we don't often get £400 on a Saturday morning!''
''It's especially nice to receive something from the younger generation. We hear so much about younger people not caring these days, so it means a lot that these performers have put effort into a project like this.''
