The second ever Official Dave Sharp Weekend is being held on 20th & 21st April and is already certain to eclipse last year's event in Glasgow.
On top of two shows from Dave Sharp, the weekend will feature live music from 7 other acts (not including the Saturday "open mic" slots) over the three sessions. 6 acts are now confirmed, with one more to come.
Some fans will already have caught Seamus Mcloughlin in 2005 & 2006 when he supported Dave's former band mate Mike Peters (in the UK & New York) and later supported Dead Mean Walking on their UK tour.
Glaswegian band Rocketfox have been building their reputation with hard working gigs round
Scotland for the past year and are gaining real interest from the UK music industry.
The weekend promises to be great value. Decaturville #2 will commence at 7pm on Friday 20th, with a laid back acoustic weighted night concluding with a 2 set acoustic show from Dave Sharp until around 1am.
The Saturday daytime session from midday to 5pm will feature more music both on the big screen & live.
Saturday night is electric night from 7pm concluding with an "at the show aftershow" until 1am. The bar will be open at all sessions, with no queues and no long waits for service.
Tickets are now on sale at £25 for the weekend, with no booking fees, delivery charges or other hidden costs. With 10 sets of live music lined up,the weekend ticket works out at less than £3 per act.

Seamus Mcloughlin:
Seamus McLoughlin is a product of the Preston music scene, but one who may be a familiar name to Alarm fans across the UK, having supported both former lead singer Mike Peters and his offshoot band Dead Men Walking in recent years, including playing the legendary Shepherd's Bush Empire in October 2006.
Starting off busking around Ireland, guitar in hand, as an enthusiastic 18 year old, Seamus has slowly built a loyal following both in the UK and over the sea in the USA through support slots with Mike Peters, David Garza, Ocean Colour Scene & Reef and solo shows in coffee bars & pubs.
Recently he took part in the "Britbus Tour" of America. The tour took in several major cities right across the country, from LA to New York City. The use of the tour is to highlight British talent in the U.S. It seems to have
paid off for him and 2007 looks like being the year Seamus "makes it big",having earned an invite to play at the music industry's biggest showcase event, the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. Seamus will play 5
shows at SXSW in March 2007 which will bring his music to the attention of some of the biggest record companies, producers and agents in the world. And
less than one month later, he'll be in Preston at Decaturville.

Rocketfox:
Rocketfox are Gary Johnstone (Gtr/Vox), Fiona Crawford (Bass/Vox) & Neil
MacDougall (Drums).
The Glasgow 3 piece have only been together since Feb 06 and have already played over 70 shows up and down Scotland that have gained them a reputation for unbeatable live performances and ever growing interest from the Scottish
music press. They are also making a stir in the MySpace community, with over 5000 friends and growing.
Their infectious hooklines and massive choruses with stadium-singalong potential join forces on the live stage with the free and outrageously
untameable spirits of the three 22 year olds.
Under influences, they've been known to scribble words like Foo Fighters, The Subways, Fall Out Boy, The Killers, New Found Glory, Avril Lavigne,Fightstar, Kelly Clarkson, Biffy Clyro, McFly, Thin Lizzy, Busted, Funeral For A Friend, Rage Against the Machine and Blink 182.

Silicon Talent:
Silcon Talent are a young band from Leyland, Lancashire, a small town just outside of Preston. The four piece formed in early 2006 include amongst their influences as Joy Division, Bloc Party, Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky, Bright Eyes, Mogwai amongst others.

Booze'n'Daze:
Formed from the long overdue death of two wedding bands, John Ramsay met John Galbraith and formed Booze'n'Daze.
Blessed with accordion skills that he'd trade in a second to be a guitarist, JR decided to make the best of what he had and went MIDI years ago, leaving behind the traditional accordion sound and all the shortbread tin nonsense that`s associated with it in our part of the world (that's Perth, Scotland to the unaware)!
"I`m a punk rocker trapped in an accordionists body!"
JG has spent the last 50 years playing everything from rock to bluegrass,
bass guitars, mandolin but has now settled into the role of oldest rocker in
Perth as Booze'n'Daze trail the pub circuits of the fair city and beyond!
Booze'N'Daze are Dave Sharp fans through and through, with sets regularly include a Sharp or Alarm track or two. Their Saturday afternoon slot at Decaturville #1 was one of the highlights of the weekend, once their
unsuspecting audience got used to that just because it looks like an accordion doesn't mean it has to sound like one! Booze'N'Daze want all their shows to be relaxed & funny occasions. Moving up to an evening slot at
Decatuville #2 will bring them a little closer to their ideal audience. JR says "Come and check us out, throw things, buy us drink, and generally just end up in the same drunken mess as everyone else who is associated with our
quiet little band!"

Paul Heaton:
Sadly the Decaturville team couldn't secure a performance from The Beautiful South's Paul Heaton, but in place of Paul from Hull, we have Paul From Preston. Quite convenient really, as he's also one of the organisers of this
year's Decaturville event!
Don't be misled into thinking that appearing at his own event is some kind of filler, Paul is a talented guitarist & singer. Many Sharp fans who have seen him in the audience of shows for many years were pleasantly surprised when he took to the stage at Decaturville in 2006 and delivered a professional & polished set. While he has no ambitions to be an international rock star, Paul takes his music seriously with Dave Sharp an
obvious influence on his choice of material and style alongside The Alarm's post-punk contemporaries like Stiff Little Fingers & The Clash.

Preston has a limited choice of large hotels in the city centre which unfortunately means that Decaturville were unable to secure their desired
group rate for Decaturville visitors.

Venue - Upstairs @ The Adelphi
The Adelphi is one of Preston's longest standing supporters of live music, with a good tradition of showcasing and promoting North - West bands.
Downstairs is a busy pub popular with students from the nearby University, while upstairs is an intimate room (capacity 150) that produces a great atmosphere for gigs, whether they be from upcoming bands or established performers looking for that more intimate gig.
