THE HARD TRAVELERS ...
40 YEARS OF THE SPIRIT OF WOODY GUTHRIE ...
DEBUT TOUR AND FREE " OFFICIAL BOOTLEG"

To mark 40 years of "The Spirit of Woody Guthrie," The Hard Travelers, make their live debut on 22nd Jan in Portsmouth at The Cellars Eastney.

Woody Guthrie's influence shines through the songs of The Hard Travelers and their music brings a fresh insight to the Guthrie spirit with a journey through heart and soul of humankind.

Along with Dave Sharp the band is comprised of 4 of the most extraordinary and gifted musicians to have emerged from the last 4 decades of Rock & Roll history.

Guitarist Henry McCullough (Joe Cocker / Wings), keys-man Zoot Money (The Animals), drummer Colin Allen (Bob Dylan / John-Lee-Hooker) & bass player Gary Fletcher (The Blues Band) teamed up with Dave Sharp this year to celebrate 40 years of "The Spirit of Woody Guthrie" and will tour the UK Spring, Summer & Autumn of 2008.

The Hard Travelers begin work on their debut EP Jan 20, scheduled for release spring 2008, and play their first live concert in Portsmouth Jan 22nd at The Cellars, Eastney.

To mark the first-ever concert of The Hard Travelers a free "official bootleg" copy of the performence at The Cellars will be available to all who attend this show by signing up at the venue on the night of the concert.

The band kick off their debut tour in May 2008 but look out for London shows in February / March.

Excellent news...thanks for passing it along.

I can't wait to hear new music from Dave.

Hopefully, they'll tour the new project here in the United States.

It would be great to see Dave play live once again.
