Hi all, fantastic gig last night by Mike in a packed Rhyl Town Hall.
Mike played two sets with the first half being a very personal set of songs about his early life in Rhyl, being from wales, his fight against Cancer and his family and friends, this lasted for around a hour and then after a short break Mike played for around another 90 mins of CLASSIC songs from his solo and Alarm catalogue for what was a truly memorable night in his home town!!!
Sorry cant remember the whole set list but it did include-Edward Henry Street,Walk Forever By My Side(dedicated to Jules and family),High On A Hill,Rain In The Summertime,Without A Fight,My Town,Strength and Deeside in set 1 and 68 Guns,WWYHWTSB,Spirit of 76,The Stand,The Deceiver,Breathe,Unsafe Building,Rescue Me,45RPM,Drunk and Disorderly and Mike finished off with a encore of Rockin In The Free World,Absolute Reality, new song LOVE,HOPE AND STRENGTH (Dedicated to Peter Jones) and the night was finished off with Blaze Of Glory!!!
GREAT CAUSE,GREAT GIG,GREAT MAN!!!!!!!!-Mick

Last night (Saturday) was amazing. After a bit stop start beginning, broken up by Nick Harper and then a break, Mike came back on and did a rip roaring set. To top off the night one Mr. Eddie McDonald came on stage and rocked through about 6 songs with Mike, can`t remember all the songs, but The Stand, Deceiver, were definately included.

A fantastic night had by all !!

Had a really memorable day thoroughly enjoyed it and thanks to MPO for a really well planned trek.
Am slightly puzzled though, how many times did I get passed by the Welsh Guard carrying what looked like Mikes guitar?
By my reckoning Mike had 34 guitars on that mountain!

LOL - I thought they were trendy shaped rucksacks myself!

Excellent day, excellent walk.

Mike Peters is a complete and utter inspiration - 2 gigs, a climb and 2 acoustic session.

Whatever he is on can I have some of that please?

We left about 10.10 in the morning and got back to the cafe where we started at about 4.10 - but that included two gigs in between. Fantastic and recommend anyone does it. The day went really quickly and it was so much fun for a fantastic cause.

Just to echo Mick, the new song "Love Hope and Strength" was really beautiful. Could easily seeing it becoming a classic in the set. Very poignant lyrics.
