Well, LHS has made it's way onto the 'Letterbocks' page of Viz magazine (Kat - was this something to do with you?).
Viz, for those of you who don't know, is an adult comic produced here in the UK and is one of the country's top sellers.
On page 8 of the November issue, there is a photo of Slim Jim with the following words:
Britain's only letters page to be edited by the drummer out of The Stray Cats halfway up Mt Everest...and that's a promise!
"Meow. Slim Jim Phantom here, the drummer out of The Stray Cats. Welcome to my letter page. You're not going to believe this, but I'm at Base Camp of Mount Everest and it's ruddy freezing, I can tell you. Ouch! I've just lost a finger to frostbite.
I'm sure you're wondering what I'm doing here. Well, me and loads of my pop star mates - Mike Peters out of The Alarm, Glen Tilbrook out of Squeeze, and many more, are playing a gig at base camp on October 23rd to raise funds for the lovehopestrength.org cancer charity. Ouch! Sorry, that was another finger. The gig is being filmed for MTV and will also be available on itunes.
