Thanks to everyone who has responded to my online appeals & made a donation to me via the PERUrocks TREKKERS site this week! YOU GUYS ROCK!!! I'm just so amazed at the generosity you guys have shown - I can't even find the words to describe how it feels!

I just recieved an exciting offer I felt I couldn't refuse and I wanted to get it out to you as soon as possible to take full advantage of it. I've been given a slight extension by the Love Hope Strength folks and found a most generous donor who has offered to MATCH every donation that comes in thru the website DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR over the next 24 hours!!! Isn't that AWESOME????

Please consider giving to this worthy cause as every dollar sent in today will count toward reaching TWICE as many people. I just wanted to say THANKS to all you, my AWESOME friends, who donated to the PERU ROCKS! Challenge fund last week on my behalf!!! YOU GUYS ROCK! 8)

It was great to hear from so many of you and to know that when a need is presented by one member of this group there are many who will be willing & able to respond to it.

So far, with about 20 sponsors making donations ranging from $5 to several hundred dollars (including the matching donor) the amount raised from online sources came to $3,849.50 (which included $1250 for the cost of the actual trek & ground costs).

That means, I am just over halfway to PERU and can now focus on setting up more fundraising EVENTS (vs personal appeals) to raise the rest of the $5,000 and I'm open to taking on corporate sponsors, as well; so if you know any businesses or organizations who would like to have worldwide online exposure for their logo or product in exchange for a reasonable donation please give them my contact info. lyninvenice@yahoo.com

This month, I'm also doing an online AUCTION with a wide variety of music & non-music related items going on the block for the LOVE HOPE STRENGTH.org so if you have any items you'd like to donate to the cause please contact me with the details & I'll get them sold for you.
