I was lucky enough to attend yesterday's Empire State Rocks walk. About 20 of us, including Mike Peters and James Chippendale, walked the 1576 steps to the top. An amazing experience, and it wasn't easy, but we knew why we were there and we made it to the top. When we reached the 86th floor, Jim Chippendale made a terrific speech about the Foundation and then the band (Mike, Slim Jim, Dave Wakelin and Billy Duffy) played 4 songs: Strength, Rain (by the Cult), which was an appropos song with yesterdays weather, Rock this Town and Save it for Later. It was surreal walking to the top of the Emipre State Building, watching a concert in the gift shop, and the foggy, rainy weather outside in the background. I was glad to be a part of it, to meet some really great people, but most of all to support the Love Hope and Strength Foundation. They are doing a great job trying to get the message out there about leukemia and their efforts to fight it. I am sure there will be a more detailed post about yesterday, and plenty of photos and video too. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Love, Hope and Strength!

Hi all, just here from Nick Harper's Harperspace forum, so glad to hear a great weekend was had by all on Snowdon. Think I'm speaking for the forum-ers when I say we're really behind this great cause (and we all bought our multiple copies of Blue Sky Thinking for it haha), can't wait til the adventure continues on Everest! Just one request: if you could return our Harpic in one piece, it would be very much appreciated. Cheers and hugs, Paula ps to Katrina, I linked to a few of your pics from the walk to show them on our forum but I said they were yours, and don't nick 'em LOL. Hope that's okay...
