mini league name is blaze of glory

your first team will be entered
my advice is to pick bfore entering

sorry tioth,
you say you know its hard for the rest of the Uk to support england. I think your comment is wrong. I find it impposible to support england.
I will nto now and never ever support england. ( and I am getting a really hard time for this in the slf forum)
I do hope england do well enough to get in the finals though, then the opposing team win in the dying seconds with a hand ball ,almo, pmsl

sorry, but iam scottish,lol

It's hard to explain. A bit like asking an Arsenal fan to support Chelsea. But with a LOT more history.
Sorry guys.

Someone will come.........

It's a bit different for us.
I'll support the USA until they lose grievously in the first round, but if Mexico, Costa Rica, or Pananma make it through, I'll support them just because the CONCACAF gets no respect at all. I'll also support any team from the UK, unless they play the USA.

Talking of Sweden... we got confirmation last week that we were successful in the last FIFA ticket ballot. They allocated us Trindad & Tobago vs Sweden on 10th June. Flights & accomodation all sorted, Dortmund here we come! (Fortunately they have screens erected around the stadium so we can see the England game beforehand). Roll on next week!

there is so much hype re England. I am Welsh and proud of it. John Toshack is doinfg a really good job an d I am sure that we will be in these big tournaments in the future. However it annoys me to see so much being lavished on these overpaid and spoilt players.I wanrt to see a great world cup with lots of shocks butthis won't happen. In my crystal ball I see an England v Argentina final with dare i say it--------England to win. Watch Korea and croatia . big game will be Holland and Portugal in q.finals. One of these might nick it. Top scorer Lampard but I have also put money on Crespo. Rooney won't play but he has to be around to line those commercial pirates pockets with gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He will not play in Germany. Sven will not have him in the squad after the next scan. Hey maybe Andy Johnson might play. As an Evertonian this would be a great move .

Good run down for the cup there but I am disagreeing about the final, I dont think england will be in the final. I thin kthey have good enough, top class players to say they should be in the final, but I think semi's the nknocked out.

As for the top goal scorer, Ihave a wee guy in my fantasy team, canny remember his name, borgetti? plays for bolton, plays for mexico. He was the top goal scorer in the qualifiers for the world cup. And Ronaldo is going for equalling the record or even beating it so his team mates will be trying to let him score more than anyone in the team ( unless they cannot afford to pass it away)
So, top goal scorer??? hard to predict as always. But in a horrible way I hope lampard does do well since I have him and ferdinand in my fantasy team.

a few early predictions:

Italy out - group stage
Germany out - last 16
T&T to let in more than 12 goals
crouchaldhino to be subject of transfer to inter for m£50
ronaldo and ronaldhino to be interred into mingers weekly hall of fame.
German head coach banned to the stands for wearing crotchless lederhousen
Rioting in Tehran when the police use rubber nuclear weapons as crowd control
USA citizen put in stocks and pelted with slightly squidgy fruit for saying "that was a fantastic touch down"
Loads of Swedes staggering up and down German towns Blearing eyed and weaving from side to side (not drunk - just cant get over how cheap the beer is)
National celebration in England as all the pundits, commentators et al come down with tonsilitis all at the same time
In Scotland 3 power stations go off line and an audible click is heard as far away as Newcastle as all the tvs get turned off when England play

Any more ? Smiler

Don't you believe it. Plenty of interest north of the Rio Tweed. I'll be glued to it.

Incidentally, I've noticed that a lot of Welshmen support Everton(well, I know of 1 other but I don't know a lot of Welshmen) LOL... Is this the way things are? I only ask out of my ignorant Scottish curiousity.

Someone will come.........
