A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM EDDIE
Welcome to my forum on The Alarm website. I’m delighted to announce that Westway will be making its official debut at Strummercamp in May (date to be confirmed). I hope to see you there. Meanwhile, I’ll be updating this forum monthly, so keep visiting and if you have any questions, please feel free to drop them in and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as possible. Many thanks for your continued support.

Westway VIP100
For more information on Westway, including future releases, gigs and details of great prizes, visit www.myspace.com/westwaytotheclash. The first 100 Alarm friends from this forum will become one of the Westway VIP100, which means you’ll get an amazing 50 per cent off all Westway shows for life. Once you become a friend of Westway, email Westway at myspace, label the subject bar ‘VIP100’ and by return email, we will send you a questionnaire. This will provide you with entry into the free draw (see below) that will be announced at Strummercamp in May.

A collector’s item
The prize from the free draw is one of only four large, framed Alarm photographs handed to members of The Alarm at The Bands Reunited VH1 gig in 2003. I will personally sign it for the winner. With only three others in existence, why not join Mike Peters, Dave Sharp and Nigel Twist as the fourth owner? It’s definitely a collector’s item!

Westway on tour
Before Strummercamp, Westway will perform a secret London Show to be announced shortly on this forum with tickets available online. I can’t wait to strap my guitar on and get back on stage! Further dates worldwide will also be announced, so keep visiting the forum to make sure you don’t miss out.

Hey Eddie, how's things!?!

That My Space is so confusing.
I've no idea how to add or request joining groups but i've developed a good knack of unexplainedly deleting "friends!"

Eddie, i'm looking forward to seeing you play @ Strummercamp and your fellow ALARM BAND MEMBER Dave Sharp will be playing too.

I'm very surprised Mike [Peters] isn't on the bill seeing he's such a big punk fan & as mad about the Clash/Joe Strummer as some of us are about The Alarm...O.K. He's not that dedicated but all the same you lad's were so much more than the wrapper of a chocolate bar Wink

Oh well, 2 out of 4 of The Alarm playing StrummerCamp ain't a bad start Smoking Wink

That just leaves the Twi$tman...

I'd chat some more but it's time to crack open another beer and watch "Shameless"...that Frank Gallagher, he's a bit of a card! Pub Time

P.S. Are you lot playing Clash covers only or you got some original material? afterall you wrote some rather good songs/tunes back in the day!

Which ways the fridge?? Pub Time Pub Time Pub Time

P.P.S. You gonna make it to Sharpy's Weekend Bash in Preston?
IT'S A PARTY!!

Cheers & Goodnight, Robbo!

P.P.P.S. Do you think part of Green Day's - "Jesus Of Suberbia" rips off 68 Guns?

I do!
Money Money Money...

Great to hear Westway are gonna roll out again, the show at Herne Hill last year was magnificent and i was beginning to fear it may have been the first and last !
Have to say i'm not particulary taken with this VIP100 idea as this sort of thing creates elitism which can never be a good thing and really can hack people off.I really don't wanna go anywhere for half the price of the next man and i very much doubt uncle Joe would approve.
That gripe aside i look forward to seeing the next best thing to the Clash once more.

Hi Eddie..... Do you remember me..... Tony Babington.... We used to play in the Rhyl High Youth club back in 76....I remember well sitting on the stairs with you helping me learn the drumming to Back in the ussr by the Beatles... and then later in the bermuda studios at the back of Mogas house I was that drumer that did not know what had hit them in the first version of the toilets.... Anyway...I would be good to get in touch ... My email is a.babington@homecall.co.uk if you fancy a chat.... I emailed Nigel last year and he was well.... Speak soon Tony
