STRUMMERVILLE BENEFIT CONCERT SEEKS FRONTMEN TO PARTICIPATE IN A CELEBRATION OF THE MUSIC OF THE CLASH



Rock band Westway… To The Clash is looking for named singers to participate in a charity fund-raising gig at The Half Moon in Herne Hill on Saturday 22nd December. The group, formed by ex-Alarm bassist Eddie Macdonald, is inviting singers to perform on stage and pay their respects to Joe Strummer. In doing so, they will raise money for Strummerville, a charity formed by Joe’s family to raise funds for aspiring young musicians.



The night will be a showpiece for music, theatre and comedy and already features cast members of the theatre production, ‘Meeting Joe Strummer’. It will be hosted by TV presenter Gaz Top (‘How’ and ‘Get Fresh’).
